The Subaru brand has reason to rejoice now that it has another award to add to its trophy case. Kelley Blue Book (KBB) has just gave the automaker multiple highly distinguished and heard-to-earn awards. The 2020 Subaru Forester was named “best Compact SUV.” The manufacturer as a whole was named “Best Brand” in KBB’s annual Five-Year Cost-to-Own Awards.

Gillman Subaru Southwest isn’t just a dealership with a great selection of Subaru SUVs in Houston. It’s also a very active part of the community and gives back to native Houstonians whenever possible. One event quickly approaching is Aids Walk Houston taking place in Downtown Houston. Mark your calendar for March 1^st, 2020. The event commences at 1:00 PM and concludes at 2:00 PM with post-walking activities taking place immediately after. Prepare your walking shoes and save the date.

For the past 10 years, Gillman Subaru Southwest has held The Big Event. This is the first year we’re calling it the “Big Event Grand Opening” and we’re celebrating the opening of our new dealership “Big Event” style. Subaru car owner or not, everyone is invited. Another one of our New Owner Clinics at Gillman Subaru Southwest has come and gone, and we are pleased to say that it was a success that brought hundreds of visitors, both new and returning customers. At these events, we try to move away from the dealership vibe and give visitors a more social and homely experience.

Our loyal and frequent visitors know that Gillman Subaru Southwest is a long-time devotee of charitable causes that benefit the local community. Giving back means more to us than making a car sale. With the holidays here, it is especially the time of year to be thinking of others. This is why we are hosting the Subaru Share the Love event, in effect from now until January 2, 2020.

Subaru announced the return of its twelfth -annual Subaru Share the Love Event. This event puts Subaru owners in the driver's seat when it comes to selecting which charity or charities are to receive a donation from Subaru on their behalf. Having donated more than $145.7 million to national and hometown charities over the last eleven years, Subaru and its participating retailers, including Gillman Subaru Southwest, hope to exceed a total of $170 million in donations since the Subaru Share the Love Event launched in 2008.

Every now and then, we like to host big events at our dealership. It’s our way of giving visitors an occasion to look forward to. This is why we love hosting periodic New Owner Clinics.
