Gillman Subaru Southwest isn’t just a dealership with a great selection of Subaru SUVs in Houston. It’s also a very active part of the community and gives back to native Houstonians whenever possible. One event quickly approaching is Aids Walk Houston taking place in Downtown Houston. Mark your calendar for March 1^st, 2020. The event commences at 1:00 PM and concludes at 2:00 PM with post-walking activities taking place immediately after. Prepare your walking shoes and save the date.

Another one of our New Owner Clinics at Gillman Subaru Southwest has come and gone, and we are pleased to say that it was a success that brought hundreds of visitors, both new and returning customers. At these events, we try to move away from the dealership vibe and give visitors a more social and homely experience.

Subaru announced the return of its twelfth -annual Subaru Share the Love Event. This event puts Subaru owners in the driver's seat when it comes to selecting which charity or charities are to receive a donation from Subaru on their behalf. Having donated more than $145.7 million to national and hometown charities over the last eleven years, Subaru and its participating retailers, including Gillman Subaru Southwest, hope to exceed a total of $170 million in donations since the Subaru Share the Love Event launched in 2008.

Every now and then, we like to host big events at our dealership. It’s our way of giving visitors an occasion to look forward to. This is why we love hosting periodic New Owner Clinics. The next one, by the way, is scheduled for November 12^th, at 6:30 pm. Mark this date on your calendar or digital planner. This is your chance to drop by with the family for some social chitchat with our friendly staff.

We have mentioned time and again that our dealership isn’t just about selling and servicing cars. We are also about giving back to the community. When we say giving back, this extends not just to people but also to local animals that make up part of the community. This is why we established the Subaru Loves Pets event. This year’s function is set to take place throughout October; become an active part of this charitable cause to help our fellow four-legged citizens today!

Anyone who has been following us for some time knows we are big advocates of giving back to the community. This is why we are proud to announce that Gillman Subaru Southwest is a sponsor of the upcoming Light the Night event scheduled for October 26^th, 2019, at Houston City Hall.

If you have been keeping up with our dealership news and recent events, then you know we are a big community supporter and give back in any way we can. One of our long-cherished activities is the Subaru Loves Learning Event. This year, as in previous years, we partnered with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to partake in the AAAS/Subaru SB&F Prize for Excellence in Science Books. We are proud to say the event was a success, with more local teachers and students participating than anticipated.

June is Subaru Loves to Care month. This is an endeavor that we have been a part of since 2015 and is our way of giving back to the community. We hope you get actively involved and contribute to a selfless cause.
