Gillman Subaru Southwest is far more than just a car dealership. We are also a part of the community that gives back to the beautiful city of Houston and its numerous local non-profit organizations. One such organization is the AIDS Foundation Houston, which will be hosting its annual AIDS Walk event.
The event will be held on March 3rd, 2019, at Sam Houston Park. Registration begins at noon. The walk begins an hour later at 1:00 p.m.
We encourage everyone to sign up. This includes whole families and members of corporate teams. Members of a qualifying and related organization can also become a part of the foundation’s Benefiting Agency Team. We were a proud sponsor of the event in 2017 and are equally delighted to take part once more.
The event raises money to support local AIDS organizations. According to government statistics, there were 36.9 million people worldwide affected with HIV in 2017. The figure includes 1.8 million children. While there is no cure at this time, countless organizations are working around the clock to provide a supportive community for men and women with the disease. While HIV is a global epidemic, hope begins at the local level.
