What You Get with the 2018 Subaru Outback

The Subaru Outback is the crossover that has the family-friendly capabilities of the bygone station wagon, combined with the hauling and off-roading capabilities of an SUV. It's a true best of both worlds vehicle - and the 2018 version does not disappoint.

2018 Subaru Outback Details

With the Subaru Outback, you get it all. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive comes standard, but you also get 32 miles per gallon on the highway, and 25 miles per gallon in the city. You get 73.3 cubic feet of storage, 8.7 inches in ground clearance and X-MODE to enhance handling on rough terrain. You can tow up to 2,700 pounds.

You also have a spacious interior, upgraded this model year. It's the small features like the power seats with memory and the quieter ride due to noise-reducing glass that makes the 108.1 cubic feet of interior passenger space feel so comfortable.

The 2.5-L DOHC engine achieves 175 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. If you need a little more power, it's possible to upgrade to a 3.6-L engine with 256 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque. All trims feature the Lineartronic CVT transmission, making for a smooth ride.

The 2018 Subaru Outback comes in six trims: 2.5i, 2.5i Premium, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Touring, 3.6R Limited, and 3.6R Touring. For help selecting the one that best fits your needs, visit your Subaru dealer at Gillman Subaru Southwest.
