Whereas the previous-generation Subaru Solterra utilized a 72.8-kWh battery, the 2026 model upsizes to a 74.7 lithium-ion battery. This more powerful core delivers an EPA-estimated range of more than 285 miles, far exceeding last year's estimated range of around 227 miles. Paired with more powerful front and rear motors, the system achieves 233 horsepower - 18 more horsepower than last year. And the good news keeps coming in the form of the new 2026 Subaru Solterra XT trim. Its extra-robust dual electric motors combine to output 338 horsepower and a sub-five-second 0 - 60 time.
The more powerful battery pack in this electric SUV charges from 10% to 80% in less than 35 minutes. Moreover, the 2026 Subaru Solterra is newly equipped with a standard North American Charging Standard (NACS) port. This is a real boon for drivers, as this new port allows for charging at more than 15,000 Tesla Superchargers nationwide.
Infotainment
Subaru of America has made big changes to this EV's infotainment platform. All-new this year is a 14-inch Subaru Multimedia touchscreen with wireless connectivity for Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. Also new are wireless 15W smartphone chargers for the driver and front passenger, as well as high-power rear USB-C charge points. Plus, select trims come standard with a Harman Kardon® 11-speaker sound system.
Safety
