It takes place at the Buffalo Bayou in Downtown Houston and is one of the top 5 largest canoe and kayak races in the nation. How’s that for impressive? There will be a launch crew helping participants launch canoes into the water, and at the end they’ll be providing free massages. This event takes place on Saturday, March 11, 2017, and whether you’re paddling or watching on the sidelines, it’s an event you will not want to miss out on. The Regatta Registration Opens – 7:30 a.m.
Race Begins at San Felipe and Voss – 9:00 a.m.
Awards Ceremony at Sesquicentennial Park – 1:00 p.m.
Regatta Festivities End – 2:00 p.m.
Enjoy free live zydeco music, a rock climbing wall, and grab a front row seat for the awards ceremony. Delicious food and drinks will be available for sale at the finish line area at Sesquicentennial Park – so be sure to bring your appetite! The starting line is located at 7700 San Felipe for those who are interested or are registered in the race. Join the Gillman Subaru team in supporting the 2017 Regatta.
