Gillman Subaru Southwest is proud to be a sponsor of AIDS Walk Houston. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this event, AIDS Walk Houston is a community-wide event that attracts thousands of Houstonians each year. This walk benefits local AIDS Service Organizations who strive to make an impact in the fight against AIDS while providing essential social services to Houstonians living with HIV/AIDS. The proceeds go towards education, pediatric programs, housing, food, medical care, counseling, and job training. It takes place on Sunday, March 5th at Sam Houston Park located in Downtown Houston. Registration starts at noon, the walk begins at 1:00 p.m. and the Post-Walk Festivities start at 2:00 p.m.
Event Roles for AIDS Walk Houston are as followed:
Team Captain - Accept donations directly to your team
Green Walker - 100% of fundraising is done online
Walker - Fundraising is done online AND offline
Virtual Walker - Not walking but fundraising
If you’re attending this event, make sure you stop by our tent to say hello! We will have a 10x20 booth at the park with giveaways, store personnel on site as well as vehicles on display for you to check out. Plus, there will be plenty of food trucks on-site providing tasty post-walk grub. So bring your friends and family down to Sam Houston Park located in Downtown Houston for a day of fun!
